Sidney Sea Holly Sea Basket is handwoven from reclaimed crab pot rope. Sidney is an ocean jewel. He is woven from a soft white rope which features some medium blue flecks and his spines are a beautifully textured pretty ocean green with subtle pink flecks. Sidney Sea Holly has a long elegant, useful handle. Medium sized, slightly tapered in shape, with a bottom that measures 12 inches across and a top measuring coloser to 10 inches. Mr. Sea Holly is very pretty and functional. He'd be a useful addition to your household.
This Sea Basket was hand woven out of rope which has been sourced directly from our local fishermen. The rope itself has beautifully distinctive characteristic marks from its time spent in the ocean. The rusty marks come from the crab fishing and rope storage process. We like to preserve as much of the history of the rope’s fishing usefulness as possible. Look carefully and you will find knots, rope splices, loops and more, woven directly into this basket.

Sidney Sea Holly Sea Basket is a 12" wide across the bottom, 10" top opening x 9" deep (17' with handle) and he weighs approximately 6 lbs. and contains at least 100 feet of rope!
