Sage Water Chestnut Sea Basket is handwoven from reclaimed crab pot rope. Teapot shaped, (it just comes out that way sometimes) and woven from a nice rusty sage/grey colored rope, Sage Water Chestnut is as handsome as he is useful. Spines of white and brighter green along with an attractive sturdy handle, Mr. Water Chestnut is a treasure.  Medium/large sized, easy to clean, sturdy and functional. He'd look great anywhere, filled with all manner of anythings ... toys, a plant, luandry or bathroom items... 
 
This Sea Basket was hand woven out of rope which has been sourced directly from our local fishermen. The rope itself has beautifully distinctive characteristic marks from its time spent in the ocean. The rusty marks come from the crab fishing and rope storage process. We like to preserve as much of the history of the rope’s fishing usefulness as possible. Look carefully and you will find knots, rope splices, loops and more, woven directly into this basket.
