Gussie Fluffy Green Seaweed Sea Basket is handwoven from reclaimed crab pot rope. Gussie is an ocean jewel.  Bright Aqua and white with a touch of sunny yellow.  The rope is less worn than others we weave with but still reclaimed. Ms. Fluffy Green Seaweed does not have a  handle. She is medium sized, very sturdy and functional and excitedly waiting to hold your treasures.
 
This Sea Basket was hand woven out of rope which has been sourced directly from our local fishermen. The rope itself has beautifully distinctive characteristic marks from its time spent in the ocean. The rusty marks come from the crab fishing and rope storage process. We like to preserve as much of the history of the rope’s fishing usefulness as possible. Look carefully and you will find knots, rope splices, loops and more, woven directly into this basket.
