Pixie Eel Grass Sea Basket is handwoven from reclaimed crab pot rope. Pixie is a happy sunshining little basket is woven from vibrant orange  and yellow rope ends that are new but still reclaimed. Our Sea Baskets are hand woven out of rope which has been sourced directly from our local fishermen. The rope itself has beautifully distinctive characteristic marks from its time spent in the ocean. The rusty marks come from the crab fishing and rope storage process. We like to preserve as much of the history of the rope’s fishing usefulness as possible. Look carefully and you will find knots, rope splices, loops and more, woven directly into this basket.
